Life

All alone when midnight struck
Bound and mesmerised by the
Piercing toll... Of morn,
Thy gentle day doth breaks.

Arose did I from slumbers embrace to find a
World filled with shadows and hate To ever sink
Downwards into the warm enveloping arms of life...
And draw from its love... a flicker of light.
